Room 215,
Very well written, nice and clear.
You have a very pointed sense of clear reasoning IMHO.
I like it!
If someone lived a trillion X longer than you, and had a billion X more reasoning ability would he come to the same conclusions as you?
this observation came to mind in a related thread on cultural changes in the jw community over the years, as the organization evovles from a feisty, intensely radical, militant band of `theocratic warriors'' to a more maintream religion.. as the passage of time has eroded almost all of the plausibilty in the chronological component of their message (remember how big a part of our preaching was ``doing the 1914 drill'' -- you know: 2,520 minus 607, plus no zero year = 1914; ask yourselves how few modern and younger jws can do this by rote nowadays), teh focus has shifte to ``ain't we the greatest?
almost every wt issue runs articles featurng sanitized, idealized, versions of aspects of their modern history.
jws in the concentration camps, the atlanta penitenitary for rutherford and his gang, praise from public officials for jw comportment at assemblies, quick-build kingdom halls, disaster relief for their own kind, lifestyle makeovers, the experiences of oldtimers who unapologetically squandered a lifetime living in nomadic, vagabond poverty out of a suitcase or shuttered away in bethel or a missionary home, etc., ad ininitum, ad nauseum.

when god created adam and eve did he foreknow that they would sin?.
this is taken from the reasoning book:.
when god created adam, did he know that adam would sin?.
Sirona,
You've touch on the Tree of Knowledge in the garden, and I have some thoughts(questions) on that.
Did God know Adam and Eve would eat this fruit, I think so.
This tree is called the "Knowlegde of Good and Bad". So was the tree totally bad? Part of it was the Knowledge of Good too.
And after they ate, God did say that Adam and Eve became just like them(God & Jesus?)knowing both good and bad(was this statement sarcasm or just fact?).
Did God set the whole thing up so that the whole human race would know good and bad?
Perhaps for them to experience both sides of the coin and then for God to rescue them from the bad. And having been delivered from the badness and death, redeemed man would never want to do bad again forever because they Now Have Knowlegde of how Bad,.. bad really is.
Just a thought is all.

I don't mind if you email me do so any time and I will try to email you back as best I can.
But feel free to post on this thread as much as you want, but my attention span can be rather short and long explanations are hard for me to get.
If someone lived a trillion X longer than you, and had a billion X more reasoning ability would he come to the same conclusions as you?
several posters have asked what i thought of the.
revelations about the wt being associated with the un.
as an ngo so i thought i might make a brief comment on.
Let me correct my last post.
4hm,
Regards:
Whether you are a JW, xjw, atheist, or just a interested bystander, how many JW's do you know that are even aware of the magnitude of doctrine change of the 1914 "generation" obliteration?
Yes now a generation according to the WT came be thousands of years long since they left it indefinite in length.
So if that is true, then that obliterates completely the need for Jesus' to give an advance sign, to get Christians ready since the Generation that wouldn't pass away can go on for,... thousands of years or even more.
What a bunch of holy bull shit!

I hear ya friend. Of course, that being the case it wouldn't matter how we feel would it?
Yes it matters what we feel very much. It to a large extent effect us in many ways.
Not saying who's right or wrong.
I just want to see what other people think, maybe someone will say something that will make me think.

I feel the Knowledge of whether God foreknew or not is unattainable from deduction.
I feel the Only one that can answer that question with any credence is the Almighty himself.

Jan,
That is very sound reasoning IMHO.
Yes they take an either: it's this, or it's that,...with nothing in between.
Totally black or white reasoning.
Thanks for the in between.
